LinkedIn Ads has introduced a new feature (dynamic UTM’s) aimed at streamlining campaign setup and tracking:

These dynamic UTMs are set to be available to all users globally by the end of March, marking a significant shift in how we can monitor campaign performance without relying on third-party cookies.

In our experience, setting up UTMs for campaigns involved manual effort, but with the introduction of dynamic UTMs, this process will now be automated.

UTM parameters serve as vital tools, allowing advertisers to track essential information about the source of ad clicks without depending on third-party cookies or IP addresses. By adding these parameters to the ad URLs, we can measure how well specific campaigns or ads perform.

This innovation addresses the challenges we have often faced in manually creating UTMs, which can be time-consuming, inefficient and prone to errors. With dynamic UTMs, LinkedIn claims these hurdles are overcome, allowing us to focus more on strategy and less on logistics.

At Beyond Clicks, we are utilising more and more LinkedIn ad campaigns on behalf of our clients. With this latest enhancement, we can further optimise our advertising efforts by seamlessly integrating dynamic UTMs into our tracking strategy. This means improved accuracy in measuring campaign performance and better-informed decision-making for our clients.

If you are interested in advertising on LinkedIn, we can help. We can recommend targeting options for your brand/objectives, best practice when it comes to strategy and most importantly, run your campaigns on your behalf including set up, optimisation and reporting.
