Google Partners provided us with a very interesting webinar centred around the upcoming busy festive shopping periods.

Google have released their recommended tips and strategies to drive more sales this festive period. Conversion rates increase dramatically this time of year due to Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas. Now is the time to capture those sales with the following tips.

GOOGLE’S CHRISTMAS PREPARATION TIPS

As we know Black Friday & Cyber Monday has been and gone, but they have been recorded to be the largest in sales in the UK and Ireland from Google’s data. Lots of searches including the phase Black Friday & Cyber Monday spiked far surpass from the figures and data we saw in 2016.

Google have been making its mobile site more efficient as of late. This is due to the predicted mobile conversion growths growing year-on-year.

For the upcoming month December we need to focus on capturing those late shoppers by focusing  on three quick strategies:

  1. Dynamic remarketing to bring customers back: Capitalise on the new streamlined setup for dynamic remarketing. Set up a campaign in less than 5 minutes.
  2. DSA to capture incremental traffic: Use DSA to capture incremental festive searches and remove heavy lifting of Keyword optimisations.
  3. Bumper builder & sales animation: Get cheap and effective brand impact on the world’s largest video network. Perfect for clients with creative restrictions.

These three strategies are crucial to capturing the additional demand. Helping to drive sales are Dynamic Remarketing, Dynamic Search Ads and Bumper Ads. These strategies are very effective over the busy Christmas period because they are quick and easy to implement.

DYNAMIC REMARKETING

When creating Dynamic Remarketing adverts, you need to stand out in the cluttered marketplace. You can do this by running impactful remarketing campaigns with bespoke ads. If a person lands at a particular product on your site, Google Remarketing tag will create a unique product ID code. You can serve with a dynamically generated advert to follow the user around. This ad will display an image of the product and text information.

Dynamic remarketing is a great tool that all advertisers should be using. We found that 96% of all users leave a website without converting. 70% of users abandon shopping carts without purchasing and 49% of users typically visit 2-4 sites before purchasing. If you haven’t setup remarketing on your campaigns, you’re missing out on attracting that customer back to your store.
